Country Parks in Kent
The Kent Outdoor Pursuits Disability Project is currently working with several country parks across the county in order to increase outdoor activities for people of all abilities. Bedgebury PinetumBedgebury Pinetum near Goudhurst has 800ha of forest available for recreational use to the general public. As well as offering a large area of fragrant pine trees it also houses a lush Pinetum which contains trees and plants from all over the world. With the aid of Sport England, Bedgebury Pinetum is has become the place to go in the county for outdoor recreation. Funding has been put into the forestry commission owned site meaning that Bedgebury now provides a new visitors center, fantastic play areas for children, all ability cycling routes, cycling routes for the more experienced rider, all ability walking routes and a host of other amenities and facilities for people to enjoy.
