The Hythe Ability Cycling Club started as an idea from Ian Taylor, a Physiotherapist from Dover. He approached the Kent Sports Leisure and Olympics Service for advice and with their help, along with funding from the Shepway Resource Centre and Kent Sport Leisure and Olympic Service, the club opened in July of 2005.
