The IWAS World Games take place every two years, Development Games in the Post Paralympic Year and Elite Games in Pre-Paralympic Years.
The IWAS World Junior Games take place every year and is a fundamental opportunity for young athletes with an inspiration for an international career in their chosen sport.

Current Paralympic sports include; Archery, Athletics, Boccia, Cycling, Equestrian, Football (7-a-side and 5-a-side), Goalball, Judo, Power lifting, Rowing, Sailing, Shooting, Sitting Volleyball, Swimming, Table Tennis, Wheelchair Basketball, Wheelchair Fencing, Wheelchair Rugby and Wheelchair Tennis, and as from 2016 Triathlon and Canoeing will be added to the programme.
Current Paralympic Winter Sports are; Alpine Skiing, Nordic Skiing, Sledge Hockey and Wheelchair Curling.
