The Parents Consortium, based from Allsworth Court, in Hextable, run a number of sports and leisure opportunities for young disabled people in the area.

Now run a disability multi-sport club at their Northfleet base, next to Cygnet Leisure Centre every Wednesday

Junior's (5-12 year olds) 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.,   Senior's (12 year olds +) 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.

 

 

Sevenoaks

Edenbridge Mencap Wednesday Club is for people with a learning disability and meet at the Centre in Four Elms Road, every Wednesday between 7:15 and 9:00 p.m.

Tunbridge Wells

Tunbridge Wells Sports Centre multi-sport Club, run by Fusion will meet on the following dates;-

Sunrise Community Club - A self referral club providing outings for young people with physical disabilities in West Kent.  Please follow this link for a leaflet for further details  (pdf)

Swimming - Monson's ASA Swimming Club is an accredited Swim 21 Club and already has a number of disabled swimmers among it's membership.

Meanwhile Tonbridge and District Mencap run a swimming session once a fortnight at Tunbridge Wells Sports Centre pool on a Saturday 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Football - Tunbridge Wells F.C. are in the process of establishing a disability football team which will play in the Kent Adult League run by Kent County football Association.

Gym - Tunbridge Wells Sports Centre are in the process of registering under the Inclusive Fitness Initiative.

Fenton's Ice Curling rink, near Tunbridge Wells are keen to hear from anyone interested in taking up the sport. Their season runs from October to the end of March - they are closed during the summer.

Two clubs for disabled children and young people operate in the town;

Seesaw runs every Wednesday, 4:15 - 5:45 p.m. for primary school aged children (6-11), with a range of learning disabilities, ADHD, autism.

Ladders runs every Thursday, 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. for secondary school aged young disabled people (11-18), with a range of disabilities, both learning and physical.

The clubs are run by VSU and are social rather than specifically sport, but both include sports opportunities.

They both run from Tunbridge Wells Grammar School for Girls.
