Sports LeadersCP Sport Multi-Sport Training Day

The Aims of the Multi Sports Development Days Cerebral Palsy Sport has three National Junior Development Officers. Our aim is to introduce children with cerebral palsy and other physical disabilities to sport. Events are held as a one off in each area to hopefully stimulate interest and arouse awareness of CP Sport.

After a multi sports day children are linked into local sports clubs. Any children who show particular potential are invited to our National Squad Training Weekends and Competitions (Athletics, Swimming, Boccia)

There is no particular pattern as to when they are held but juggled round other CP Sport events! We deliver Football, Athletics Boccia and social sports, table top games, kurling, skittles etc

The main emphasis of the day is fun, participation and working as a team. At the end of the day everyone receives a medal. This is below grass roots level and is a general introduction to what is available.

We link into governing bodies at a later date if it is appropriate. This is the very first step on our performance pathway. CP Sport works closely with UKA, ASA and FA with regard to any gifted and talented athletes.

CP Sport can also offer sports specific days in: Athletics, Boccia, Football and Swimming.

If you would be interested in hosting a day, please contact us at the CP Sport Office.
