Funding

The Sport and Physical Activity Service levers funds into Kent sport from trusts, foundations, governing bodies of sport, Sport England, the European Union, the National Lottery and other funding agencies. We also provide information about the different funding streams available.

 

£30,000 Boost to Kent Grassroots Coaches

The Kent FA has announced details of a major boost to grassroots coaching with the launch of a £30,000 coaching bursary scheme. The £30,000 will be given directly back to grassroots coaches in the form of bursaries, which will be awarded when booking on a range of coaching courses from February 2013.

300 coaches working with Kent clubs will be able to claim £50 off the course fees for the FA Level 1 coaching award, as well as the FA Youth Module 1 and Youth Module 2 development courses. A further 150 coaches successfully assessed on the FA Level 2 award will be able to apply for a £75 refund on completion of the course.

Sport England Community Sport Activation Fund

The Community Sport Activation Fund round two is now open for business closing on 1 July 2013 with £7.5m available to invest . The £40m Fund aims to support grassroots activity in community sport to grow participation. Community organisations, charities and local authorities are among those who can apply for funding of up to three years with grants of between £50,000 and £250,000.
