Pfizer Sports Fund
This is a unique partnership with the pharmaceutical giant, Pfizer Ltd, whereby KCC Sport, Leisure and Olympics distributes grants for community sports projects in the East Kent area on behalf of Pfizer.
Grant applications are assessed by the panel on 1 March, 1 June and 1 November every year.

Criteria for Pfizer Funding
As well as the general conditions of funding, Pfizer small grants have some particular criteria as follows:
- Preference will be given to applications from East Kent comprising the following areas; Canterbury and Coastal, Thanet, Dover and Deal, Shepway and Ashford.
- Preference will be given to applications which demonstrate an ability of the project to address deprivation.
- Grant recipients will be asked to credit Pfizer for the financial support given by Pfizer. For example by the Pfizer logo appearing in a sports programme.
- Copies of the logo can be obtained via email from andrea.murphy@kent.gov.uk
- Any press coverage which is able to credit the funding will be much appreciated by Pfizer.
Individuals with Paralympic potential can apply for funding to Pfizer Sports Fund
- Pfizer sports fund has extra funding for awards to individuals with Paralympic potential and will be subject to the criteria contained in the attached pdf document (PLEASE NOTE: PFIZER SPORT GRANTS ARE ONLY AVAILABLE TO INDIVIDUALS WITH PARALYMPIC POTENTIAL)

General Criteria for KCC Sport, Leisure and Olympics Small Grants
- Funding cannot be retrospectively awarded
- Funding cannot be given for personal sports kit
- Funding for new opportunities rather than on-going costs are favoured
- Applications in areas of deprivation are favoured
- Projects with links to existing initiatives are favoured
- Proposals must be sustainable
