1000 days to go! Celebration of the Kent Cultural Baton winning design

Today celebrates 1000 days until the opening of the London 2012 Paralympic Games!

The day will also mark the launch of the Kent Cultural Baton winning design. In the build up to the London 2012 Games, the Baton will be hosted by individuals and organisations across Kent as part of local events, celebrations and projects. The Baton will attract media attention and capture a legacy of shared memories from this unique moment in our history.

The Kent Cultural Baton will contribute to Kent’s Cultural Olympiad celebrations, becoming a Kent symbol of British and International culture ahead of London 2012.
