Pass the Passion Mural created

Summer 2009

The winning entry from the Olympic Torch Mural competition will be displayed in Dover for the whole of the UK and Europe to see when unveiled at De Bradelei Wharf.

 

The competition, launched in early 2009, received a staggering 6000 entries from 44 primary schools across Dover, Deal and Sandwich! The winner was Ryan Hanson, aged 8, from River School in Dover, who had his mural created over the summer period by artist Penny Bearman at family workshops held in the town. Visitors travelling through the port also get their chance to contribute to the mural’s creation.
