Free event: LGA's 2012 Games Network for Councillors - 27 February 2009

The Local Government Association's (LGA) 2012 Games network for councillors is meeting 11:00am - 3:00pm on the 27 February at Local Government House, London. 

This FREE event for councillors will give the opportunity to hear the latest news on preparations for the Olympic and Paralympic Games, including transport plans and volunteering, and to put your ideas direct to the London 2012 team and Government Olympic Executive.

Confirmed speakers include:

• Hugh Sumner, Director of Transport, Olympic Delivery Authority
• Kian Garin de Loach, Brand Manager, LOCOG
• Nicky Hughes, Head of Government Relations, LOCOG
• Cllr Mike Hill, Cabinet Member for Community Services, Kent County Council

Kent County Council’s Cabinet Member for Community Services, Cllr Mike Hill will present how Kent are delivering legacy through the 2012 Games.

There will also be plenty of opportunity for councillors to share experiences with colleagues from different parts of the country.
