60th Celebration of the Paralympics and 2012 Business Opportunities Breakfast
After a highly successful visit of the London 2012 Roadshow to Kent in July, The South East Partnership for the 2012 Games is hosting the final event of this year’s Roadshow, on the day that marks exactly five years until the London Paralympic Games begin, Wednesday 29th August.
A Business Briefing is being held, outlining the opportunities and challenges generated by the London 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games, but also how business sponsorship of talented athletes will help build the image of your company and raise its profile, including sponsoring an elite athlete with 2012 medal potential in the Olympics and Paralympics. The Paralympics and its athletes is a clear demonstration of the benefits that including the disabled could bring to any business, and so the South East region is particularly keen to hear from businesses that proactively support individuals with disabilities, whether within the workforce or community focused activity.
The Breakfast Briefing will start a day of celebration at Stoke Mandeville, home of the Paralympic movement, and will mark exactly five years until the opening ceremony for the London 2012 Paralympic Games. Stoke Mandeville is the birthplace of the Paralympic movement, and so it is fitting to mark this key milestone in preparation at this excellent venue.
If you would like further information on this event, please contact Lisa Hayward, SEEDA’s Head of Marketing, on 01438 484 216, or lisahayward@seeda.co.uk
The event will be held at Stoke Mandeville Stadium, 9 am for a 9.30 am start.
