London 2012 Games Makers
The staging of the London 2012 Games will be supported by a workforce of some 70,000 volunteers. These volunteers will be known as Games Makers.
The date for applications has closed and London 2012 is now interviewing and shortlisting applicants. This stage of the process will continue until early 2012.
Kent eVent Team
The ‘Kent eVent Team’ is one of the Kent 2012 Campaign’s iconic projects, aiming to create greater volunteering opportunities and inspire the County's residents into voluntary work.
The project is a partnership between Kent County Council and Kent’s voluntary sector, recruiting and providing volunteers for one-off sport, leisure and cultural events across the County, including the build up to the 2012 Games.
Over 1700 volunteers are now registered with the Kent eVent team, all with a range of skills to offer. Kent eVent team volunteers are ideally placed to benefit from the volunteer opportunities available during the Olympic and Paralympic Games, both in London and in Kent, as part of the County’s ‘welcome’.

Kent Greeters
Kent Greeters offer an exciting and rewarding experience through the eyes of a volunteer greeter who is passionate about their local area of Kent and would like to share their knowledge and enthusiasm with visitors.
A Greeter welcomes people from around the world. They can help visitors to find out about the best places for families to visit, places to eat, how to use local transport or to learn more about Kent's heritage, architecture and history.

Kent Games-time Greeters
Kent will be looking for volunteers to support our own County's warm welcome in 2012 to both international and national visitors.
More information about the Kent’s Games Greeters volunteering programme will be released in late 2011.
