Ian was the youngest player at the 2007 Cardiff Open tournament. His immediate focus is on competing at the British Nationals and British Open in 2008 & 2009. His future focus will be on competing in top national and international competitions, and his ultimate aim is to be selected for the Great Britain team for the London 2012 Paralympic Games. Ian's ambitions include:
- to compete at national level during 2008 and 2009, including British Nationals and British Open
- to reach semi and final levels in 2010
- to compete in top national and international competitions in 2011 and be winning medals
- to be selected for the Great Britain Paralympic Team in 2012 and to go for gold
