Bidding for 2012 – How to Secure a 2012 Business Contract

On 5 November Business Link Kent will be hosting a ‘Bidding, Tendering & Pitching Workshop’ for all Kent businesses looking win 2012 related contracts.
Despite the credit crunch, bidding for public sector contracts can provide a fantastic opportunity to win new business. Each year South East Local Authorities spend a massive £4.5 billion on goods and services!
If your business is short-listed for a London 2012 or a Public Sector opportunity, attending a Business Link workshop can put you in with a great chance of securing a contract. Each workshop will inform you of common mistakes, best practice and preparation for pitches.
What does the day include?
You will leave this ‘Bidding, Tendering & Pitching Workshop’ with a greater understanding of:
- What is a PQQ, ITT & EOI? Complete pre-qualification questionnaires (PQQs), Invitations to Tender (ITT), Expressions of Interest (EOI) and tender documents
- How to decide if you should bid
- Best practice on bid writing & tendering
- Pre-pitch contact guidance
- Pitch presentations – pitching, team dynamics, and question-handling.
The event will take place at the Village Hotel Maidstone, Castle View, Forstal Road, Maidstone, Kent, ME14 3AQ at 9am. The event is funded by Kent County Council which means for delegates it is FREE – follow this link to book your place! (link opens in a new window)
