Inspire Mark Raises the Pulse
Pulse, a youth-led festival of culture, is underway this summer with a series of exciting events lined up for young people aged 11-24.
The festival, conceived, developed and led by Future Creative Kent, was the first project in Kent to receive the London 2012 Inspire mark and forms a key part of the county’s Cultural Olympiad celebrations. The Inspire Mark is awarded to innovative projects directly inspired by the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, which have a positive impact in the community.
Eight groups of young people will work in partnership with Kent-based cultural organisations to devise and deliver their own public events based on the expertise and cultural practice of each organisation.
The events will range from disability dance to street festival, and offer young people industry experience, training opportunities, and invaluable exposure to cultural diversity.
