Creating a sporting legacy

Do you Possess Paralympic Potential?

Paralympic HandcyclingUK Sport is searching for the Paralympians of the future, with the aim of finding athletes good enough to compete at London 2012.

In partnership with ParalympicsGB, the UK Talent Team is seeking talented disability sportsmen and women with the potential to become Paralympic champions in 2012.

3 December 2009 saw the 1000 day countdown to the start of the Paralympics in 2012 and the search has now begun to find a new generation that can win gold for team GB and continue the sporting legacy on from London.

With less than 3 years to go until the Paralympics, it is not too late. At the 2008 Beijing Paralympics, 15 of 42 gold medals won by team GB were achieved by first time Paralympians. In addition, a third of the Paralympians at Beijing had been on a world class elite coaching programme for less than 2 years.
