Kent top of 2012 business league

Based on statistics released, the South East of England now has the highest number of businesses registered with London 2012 outside the capital. Within the South East, Kent comes out on top, with June figures indicating: Kent 648, Surrey 545, Hampshire 364, Berkshire 294, Bucks 177, West Sussex 133, Oxfordshire 123, East Sussex 129, IoW 4. This means that outside of London, Kent has probably the highest business interest and knowledge of the business opportunities than anywhere else in the UK.

The South East has also been piloting ‘CompeteFor’, which will be the newest element of the London 2012 business pages, offering potential 2012-suppliers the opportunity to research new clients or suppliers for themselves, and the opportunity to set up consortia of suppliers to bid for larger 2012 contracts. CompeteFor will be launched nationwide in January 2008.
