Mass warm up for the Kent School Games, and sponsor announced

The official launch of the Kent School Games took place on Tuesday 27 November 2007, consisting of a ‘warm up’ involving 400 young people of primary and secondary school age from all School Sports Partnerships in Kent. The official sponsor for the Kent School Games, P&O Ferries, was also announced. The heats and area competitions for the Games start in November 2007 and go through to June 2008 and will involve 30,000 young people in 400 competition in 21 sports. The finals will be held in June 2008, over eight days using 15 facilities at nine venues. Five thousand school children are expected to participate in the finals.
