Kent School Games Finals

School Games AthleticsSchool Games RugbyThe first ever Kent School Games finals took place this summer, after heats had taken place across the county since last autumn. The Kent School Games are believed to be the largest competitive school or youth event ever to be staged in the UK and possibly Europe.

The Scale and Scope of the Games:

  • 30,000 participants in the heats, area competitions and finals.
  • Over 500 area heats and local competitions.
  • 23 different sports including 9 for children with a disability.
  • 500 schools
  • 52 Finals events
  • Involving boys and girls at primary, secondary school and special schools, from years 3 to 11
  • 1,200 medals awarded.
