Kent wins first four Inspire Marks

Inspired by logoFuture Creative secured Kent’s first Inspire Mark for their project PULSE. Eight groups of young people aged between 11-24 years old will work with eight Kent-based cultural organisations to deliver public events ranging from dance with young people with disabilities to street festival with the culturally diverse community of Gravesend.

The University of Kent has been awarded an Inspire Mark for Kent for their Celebratory and Outdoor Performance Online Resource. COPOR is a web based networking, information, archiving and discussion resource for artists and producers involved in celebratory and outdoor performance. 12-20 students per year will be involved in the project directly. Their role will be to act as ‘consultants’ to voluntary and community projects, most specifically those developed in the context of 2012.

The 'Our Medway' project has been granted the badge of the London 2012 Inspire Programme, which recognises innovative and exceptional projects directly inspired by the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

A fourth Inspire Mark for one of Kent 2012's iconic elements will be announced on June 23, International Olympic Day.

The Inspire Programme recognises outstanding non-commercial projects and events inspired by London 2012. Successful projects are licensed use of the Inspire Mark, part of the London 2012 brand family.
