Case Study 2 - 'One Vision' the Musical
'One Vision' the musical took audiences on an inspiring journey in February 2008, following one man's struggle to live an ordinary life, through a series of sketches, poems and songs from the rock band Queen.
Created and managed by The Skillnet Group, and parted funded by Kent 2012 Small Grants Fund, the event helped to support young people with learning disabilities to produce and perform a musical at The Theatre Royal in Margate.
“One Vision” the musical was a powerful example of the positive contribution young people with learning disabilities can make to society. Epitomising Olympic and Paralympic Values such personal excellence, equality and courage, the production aimed to show people that with the right support you can follow your dreams and live an ordinary life.

The Kent 2012 Small Grants provided £1000 of funding support towards costs including:
Publicity and advertising- Projector and screen hire
- Venue hire
- Hire of the band
