Tunbridge Wells Junior Sports Achievement Awards 2010

Young Table Tennis PlayerTunbridge Wells Borough Council is calling for nominations for the Tunbridge Wells Junior Sports Achievement Awards 2010.

The awards recognise those who have contributed to sport either through their own sporting success or through their work assisting others involved in sport. The awards ceremony will be held at the Royal Victoria Hall, Southborough, Kent on Wednesday 17 November 2010.

The closing date for nominations is Friday 29 October 2010.

The Tunbridge Wells Sports Achievement Awards are organised by Tunbridge Wells Borough Council. Winners and the runners-up will receive trophies donated by Fusion Lifestyle. Nominations that the judges feel are notable achievers will receive training grants funded by Tunbridge Wells Borough Council, Fusion Lifestyle and the King Charles School Old Boys’ Association.

The judging panel of Tunbridge Wells Borough Council and Tunbridge Wells School Sports Partnership representatives will give consideration to a variety of factors including; effort and improvement during either the winter season 2009 or the summer season 2010; attitude and disposition; contribution to others and commitment towards the sport; sporting ‘role model’ and actual sporting achievement in 2009/10.
