Active Swale Sports Award Winners
The winners of the awards were announced in a fantastically attended evening with nearly 150 people in attendance.
The evening included demonstrations from Faversham Gymnastics Club and a Dance Display by Helen Ks School of Dance. There was an awesome presentation (to quote Steve Brown) from two of Swale’s Young Golf Ambassadors, Jessica Gregory and David Shelley, who helped volunteer at this year’s Golf Open at Sandwich and the evening was rounded off by a raffle in aid of Swale Youth Development Fund that raised a fantastic £265.
Gordon Henderson MP for Sittingbourne and Sheppey was a fantastic replacement for Hugh Robertson, MP for Faversham and Mid Kent and Minister for Sport and the Olympics who unfortunately was unavailable to present the prizes. Thanks are also extended to County Councillors Alan Willicombe and Mike Whiting, Swale CVS, Kent Sport Leisure & Olympic Service and Swale Borough Council Sport Development for sponsoring the Awards Evening.
