Table top cricketTable Top Cricket Launch for Children with Disabilities

Is your child interested in sport?
Are they wheelchair users, aged over nine years old?
Or does your child have learning difficulties?
Do they want to have fun learning the game of table top cricket?

Upchurch Cricket Club, Holywell Lane, Sittingbourne, Kent is having an open day on Saturday 12th March 2005, from 2pm-5pm, to demonstrate how the game of Table Top Cricket is played.

As a family orientated club we are working closely with the Kent Cricket Board, Valence School and the Kent Sports Development Manager for disabled people, to raise awareness and the profile of Table Top Cricket in Kent.

The idea is for disabled children to have fun in a safe, friendly and secure environment. The long term objective is to establish a local and national league for teams to participate in.

We are the first cricket club within Swale and Medway to provide an opportunity for children to play Table Top Cricket. Our volunteers have undertaken the necessary CRB checks and understand how the game is played. The clubhouse provides suitable access and facilities for wheelchair users.
