Coaching Bursary Scheme to support South East Coaches

Trampoline support A bursary scheme is in place in the region that offers part funding of coaching qualifications to eligible coaches living in Kent, Surrey, Sussex, Hampshire & IOW, Bucks and Milton Keynes, Berkshire and Oxfordshire. Coaches can access either £200 towards the cost of a UKCC Level 2 or £462 towards a Level 3.

The sports currently involved include Badminton, Athletics, Angling, Basketball, Canoeing, Cricket, Cycling, Equestrian, Golf, Gymnastics, Hockey, Judo, Netball, Rugby League, Rugby Union, Rounders, Rowing, Swimming, Squash, Table Tennis, Tennis and Triathlon.

Eligible coaches should:

  • live or coach within the South East region (assessed by the postcode of the applicant or of the club)
  • be 19 + years old
  • be currently employed as a coach or coaching voluntarily
  • not undertake the UKCC whilst in full time education

If you are a coach interested in doing your UKCC L2 or L3 register your interest NOW by contacting Bianca Logronio, Coaching & Workforce Development Officer, (bianca.logronio@kent.gov.uk). You will then be directed to the appropriate National Governing Body who will explain how to apply for funding. You can also apply directly by contacting your NGB.
