Free Places on Level 2 CSLA course

Community Sports Leader coaching a ball gameKent Youth are running a FREE CSLA course in Dartford and Gravesham for young people aged 16-25 years old. Kent Youth received funding from ‘v’ to run 11 projects over the next three years and we are now on our 5th project after recruiting and currently training 25 young people on the course which is in Canterbury.

We are looking to recruit another 25 young people for the course. The CSLA course is a course that teaches leadership skills using sport as a vehicle for learning. It is important to note that the young people do not have to be good at sport – they just need commitment and motivation.

Once the young people have completed the training they have to complete 30 hours community service. Ideally we would like to place the young people back into youth clubs which would give the groups additional volunteers, so we are also looking for clubs/groups that would be interested in becoming one of our activeyouth community clubs.

The start date for the course is Thursday 2 July times and venue are still to be confirmed but it will more than likely be an evening course.

Once the young people have fully completed the course they will receive a level 2 qualification.

This is a great course for young people so if you have anyone interested please do not hesitate to contact Emma on emma@kentyouth.org
