Success of International Judo Training Camp in Kent
An international Judo training camp has been successfully hosted at Tonbridge School from Sunday 18 - Wednesday 21 December 2011.
The idea of an international Judo training camp was the inspiration of Chris Bowles, Olympian, and this year saw the third successful camp held at Tonbridge School from Sunday 18 - Wednesday 21 December.
The Randori based camp's main emphasis was on improving overall performance and competition levels. Thirteen countries attended, including the GB visually impaired squad, with a total of 330 Judoka.
Chris Bowles, Olympian, David Summerville, Olympian, Dennis Stewart, Bronze medal Olympian, Carl Finney, Double Commonwealth Champion and Igor Shkarin, European Champion and Good Will Games Champion were the coaches who gave high level training and advice to Judoka combined with an enjoyment of the sport.
