Enjoy the Kent County Council outdoor education centres where youth groups, schools and other organisations can experience ‘The Great Outdoors’ in Kent and beyond !
The Centres provide opportunities for team building, challenges, activities and the learning of new skills that will benefit all abilities and ages.
The Swattenden Centre is an outdoor education and residential centre located near the historic town of Cranbrook. It is used by schools and youth organisations, and it is also ideal as a training centre, combining conference facilities with team building and management development courses.

Bewl Water Outdoor Centre reservoir is the largest area of inland water in the south east and offers a great venue for water sports and other activities. Set in the Kent/Sussex border it is suitable for 36 people including four staff.

Kearnsey Campsite is situated on the outskirts of Dover and is exclusively for any organisation that works with young people including school, youth groups, church groups, scouts, guides and Duke Of Edinburgh students. The site can cater for large and small groups and has barbecue and campfire areas.

Kent Mountain Centre is a residential outdoor education centre in Llanberis, North Wales. They design and provide activity programmes for groups of people of all ages and abilities in outdoor and team building activities.

The Hardelot Centre is a residential centre near Boulogne, France and just 45 minutes from Calais.
It is a perfect location for school trips and also sports clubs, youth groups and organisations to experience French culture and the excellent centre facilities.

New Petra is a 31m Dutch barge built in 1965. The barge has been converted for residential use to a very high quality including accommodation with en-suite facilities for smaller groups of up to 12 people including leaders.
Based in Oostende, Belgium and less than 45 minutes from Dunkerque ferry terminal, it gives groups a European experience at a leisurely pace.
