Kent Year of Sport 2012

2012 is going to be a momentous year for sport in Kent with Paralympic Road Cycling, Olympic Torch Relay and also Kent's own School Games.  The County will also welcome many visiting countries at the Pre-Games Training Camps, the U17 International Athletics Championships and also the achievements of Kent's Talented Performers, a Paralympic Road Show in the 17 day gap between the Olympic and Paralympic Games, governing body of sport programmes as well as many other sports events taking place in districts and community sports events. This is truly a great year for sport.

Kent, along with partners, has designated this as Kent's Year of Sport in order to give the maximum strength and exposure to enable us to capture the increased interest in sport and ensure that the excitement of the Games translates into more people doing sport and physical activity.
