Supporting Kent's talented performers
Following
nomination by their National Governing Body of Sport 20 talented performers,
who have the most potential to achieve at the highest level, have
been selected to receive support from Kent County Council which includes:
- Grant aid to individuals
- Year long sport science support programme in partnership with
the University of Kent, Canterbury Christ Church University and
the University of Greenwich
- Branded sports clothing
- Access to workshops and training to assist with raising the performers'
profile
The sportsmen and women have been selected across a range of sports,
and include disabled and non disabled performers. The ambitions of
all of the performers include selection for GB at future Olympic and
Paralympic Games.
Please find below a list of the performers which also includes their
sport. Some of the performers already have their profiles featured
on our Rising Stars webpage; the plan is to get the remainder on the
site very soon.
