Maidstone Mall Cares Campaign 2012

Squash PlayersWith the Olympic Games taking place in 2012, The Mall aims to raise awareness in the local community by providing a local charity, organisation or school with a one-off sports-based donation.  They should be situated no more than 20 minutes from the Shopping Mall.

Organisations will compete for the £5,000 funding and there will be a further two runner up prizes of £300.  The campaign will ask the public to nominate local sports based youth organisations. Sports can include, Dance groups, Swimming groups, Skateboarding, Judo and Martial Arts clubs.

The nomination process will last three weeks and people will be able to nominate at the Mall through an entry form or via a KM entry form given to the Ask Me Point in the Mall. They will also be able to submit their nominations through the web and social media.

  • Organisations have to be involved with the under 21s.
  • Organisations must be committed to promoting a healthy / active lifestyle.
  • The organisations must be local scale only. No national organisations.

The final date for submitting a nomination will be 6 February 2012.
