Olympic event ticket applications open in March!

Hockey InternationalYes, it's what everybody has been waiting for! March 2011 will see the launch of ticket applications for the 2012 Olympic Games. Members of the public will be invited to either apply:

Here is how the Olympic event ticket application and allocation system works:

There is a set application window whereby online or paper applications are not welcomed on a 'first come, first served' basis. All applications will be considered equally.

If there are more applicants than tickets available for any events, a 'ballot' will be held. This will ensure the fairest possible allocation of tickets for those sessions. The aim of the ballot is to maximise the number of different applicants who are allocated tickets.

Once tickets have been allocated and payment has been taken, LOCOG (London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games) will tell applicants:
  • what they have been successful in
  • the amount they have been charged, and for which chosen sessions.
If you are successful you are committed to buying all the tickets.

You can pay by Visa, cheque or postal order. Only one application per email address and visa card is permitted.

Tickets will be delivered to the billing address in 2012.
