Sport England national board has agreed a significant investment into developing the sports workforce, including paid staff, coaches and volunteers. This now provides us with an opportunity to access additional funding. In order to access a share of this funding a robust, credible workforce development plan needs to be produced by March 2007. As part of this we need partners and clubs to complete a short 10 minute online survey to help us identify the County's needs in terms of both paid and unpaid staff. All survey respondents will be entered into a prize draw to win one of three cash prizes of £200, £100 and £75 to spend on sports equipment, activities or clothing. The closing date for completed surveys is 9 February. This research will not only influence the spend of over £7 million worth of funding but it will also be used to influence key county and regional partners to increase new funding into sport. It will assist us in accessing investment into new personnel and the training and development of existing development officers, coaches and volunteers. Please pass on the address of this page to as many people in your networks as you can and encourage them to complete the survey so that we can get the clearest picture of Kent's sports staffing needs.
