Grant Aid schemes available to support projects for older people
There are two broad types of funding sources:
- Grant schemes which only support projects aimed at older people eg. Age Concern
- Grants schemes which can support a range of activities including those related to older people eg. Awards For All
Allen Lane Foundation
Grants generally between £500 - £15,000. Will fund start-up, project or core costs. No deadlines.

Grants range between £700 - £1000. Trustees meet quarterly: January, April, July and October.

Average grant around £25,000. Supports a wide range of charitable activities including projects for older people. No deadlines.

Dulverton Trust

Henry Smith Charity
Small grants of £500-£10,000, larger grants are also available. Grants are given to centres for the aged. No deadlines. www.henrysmithcharity.org.uk
Tesco Charity Trust
Grants range between £500 - £4000. Support local community
projects for elderly people where Tesco has stores. Deadline for projects
for elderly: 31 March and 30 September each year.

Tudor Trust
No minimum or maximum grant. Supports practical projects and funds a wide range of people and organisations working to achieve lasting change. No deadlines. www.tudortrust.org.uk
KCC Member Community Grants
Each County Councillor can provide financial support of up to £10,000 each year to projects benefiting local groups. No deadlines.

Lloyds TSB Foundation

The Grocers’ Charity
Grants range between £1500 - £10,000. Funds capital or revenue costs. Deadlines: 2 months prior to trustees meetings (Jan, Apr, June & Nov).

£300 - £10,000. Joint Lottery programme that will fund projects for older people. No deadlines.

Dr Scholl Foundation
No minimum or maximum grants. Will fund equipment, conferences, seminars and special projects. Deadline: 1 March annually.

Yapp Charitable Trust
Most grants are around £3000. Will fund running costs or salaries. Deadlines: 2 months prior to trustees meetings (Mar, Jul & Nov)
