Department of Health: Better Health in Old Age
In March 2001, the National Service Framework (NSF) for Older People’s Services was published. The NSF is at the centre of the Government’s response to meeting the health and social care needs of an ageing population in England.
A report was written to describe the progress that has been made since the NSF was published. Major challenges are identified and how these challenges are being met is addressed. The drivers for further reform and the principles that underpin the vision for improving health for older people – now and for future generations are detailed.
