Quest
Kent County Council Sport, Leisure and Olympics service has undergone an assessment for Quest.
Quest is the UK Quality Scheme for Sport and Leisure which is supported by the LGA (Local Government Association), LGID (Local Government Improvement and Development), the professional Institutes and the Home Country Sports Councils.
Quest is a tool for continuous improvement, designed primarily for the management of leisure facilities and leisure development.
Quest defines industry standards and good practice and encourages their ongoing development and delivery within a customer focused management framework.
The Quest assessment covered interviews with staff, customers and partners; documentary review and comparison with other services. Quest looks at leadership, management, staff deployment and engagement, marketing, research and community engagement, planning, partnerships, people management and development, customer relations and health and safety management.
Kent County Council Sport, Leisure and Olympics service scored 96%, which is the highest score ever achieved by a County, district or city council in the UK in the 12 years of the scheme. Currently, 1004 organisations are involved in Quest, covering the public, commercial, private and third sectors.
