Sports Volunteering in Kent

VolunteerKent Sports Development Unit is focusing on the issues and priorities of Sports Volunteering within related projects and programmes in both the school and community settings. Developing the structure and provision for sports clubs in Kent enabling them to raise, identify and find solutions to issues they have concerning volunteering at all levels.

Volunteering marshalThe Kent Sports Development Unit volunteer programme is linking with the volunteer center network to coordinated volunteering within sports clubs. The project currently has two main focuses:

  • Breaking down the myth that you have to be sporty to volunteer in a sports club
  • Providing sports clubs with information and support to manage the cycle of volunteers
