Kent Sport is delighted to reveal that we have met all the required criteria of the Ann Craft Trust Safeguarding Adults in Sport Framework and therefore can say we are committed to safeguarding adults in sport and physical activity.

We were invited to take part in the pilot for the framework earlier this year, and after assessing our submission the Ann Craft Trust has granted us the framework award.

The framework is an online tool for sports and activity organisations containing six themes. Each theme contains several criteria that require you to submit evidence indicating where and how you meet them.

It has been developed by the Ann Craft Trust to create standards for safeguarding adults in the sport and activity sector, with the aim to establish and promote best practice to support continual development.

Safeguarding adults is a responsibility for every sport and physical activity organisation. Getting this right will ensure a wider participation in sport and activity, and ensure safe access for everyone.

You can find out more about the framework via the Ann Craft Trust website, or information about safeguarding adults in sport and physical activity in Kent via our website.
