Dick Fedorcio OBE

Board Chairman since September 2014

  • Dick is a leading Kent based public relations practitioner with experience mainly in the public sector. He played at representative level for both football and rugby union and nowadays plays tennis and enjoys yachting. He is a qualified coach for both football and cricket and is a former Chairman of Mote Colts Cricket Club and Vice Chairman of the Metropolitan Police Football Club. Dick is also the Chairman of CXK Ltd, a charity that helps people across the South East, especially the young and disadvantaged, to make the most of their life and career opportunities.

Bill Fearon

Senior Independent Member - Joined Board in September 2014

  • Bill is a retired College Principal, with over 35 years experience in the Secondary, Further and Higher education sectors. An ex-student of Loughborough University, he has a keen interest in sport, and has a Masters Degree specialising in sponsorship of sport. Amongst other voluntary work, Bill is a Trustee of IMAGO, a Charity working across the age ranges in Kent and neighbouring Counties; and he is a former Chairman of the Skills working group of the South East Local Enterprise Partnership (SELEP).

John Taylor

Board Member - joined Board in April 2016

  • John played rugby for Wales from 1967 to 1973 – during their golden era – and made two Lions Tours playing in all four Tests in the historic 1971 series victory over the All Blacks. When he finished playing he went into journalism and was rugby correspondent for the Mail on Sunday for 20 years. He also commentated (on gymnastics) at four Olympic Games and was chief rugby commentator for ITV from 1989 to 2007 calling five World Cup Finals including England’s victory over Australia in 2003 before switching to TalkSPORT for the 2011 tournament. He was the main stadium announcer at Twickenham for RWC 2015. He has made and presented various television programmes including the award winning documentary ‘Living with Lions.’

Joanne Winkler

  • Jo’s experience lies in Education, as a Secondary teacher of PE from 1986 – 2005, moving through school management. In 2005, she became the PE Adviser for Kent, a cross phase role which she held until 2010. Thereafter, Jo became Senior Adviser for Teaching and Learning moving to Senior Improvement Adviser, Commissioning and Training in 2012. Since 2016 she has been the Lead Senior Improvement Adviser for KCC in School Improvement. Her experience covers all schools from Primary through to Secondary and she has always worked in Kent. Her personal interests centre around sport and she is a keen runner and goes to the gym to keep fit. Jo also has a passion for travelling and if there is a local or national sporting event she’ll be there!

Natalie Curtis

Board Member and Equalities Champion - Joined Board in July 2015

  • Natalie works for the Kent Football Association, where she is the Football Development Officer, with responsibility for Inclusion. She has been in post since September 2013 and her work covers women and girls, black, Asian and other minority communities as well as the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community. Natalie is passionate about sport generally and football in particular and she works tirelessly with a range of partners to encourage opportunities for people with all abilities and from all parts of Kent and Medway’s communities to become involved in football. Natalie can often be found on a football pitch across Kent either playing, tutoring or coaching!

Martin Guyton

Board Member - Joined Board in July 2016

  • Martin is the Chief Executive of Tonbridge & Malling Leisure Trust, an independent charitable organisation working in Kent with a turnover of £6.2m pa. He has an MBA, works as a Quest Assessor and is Chair of the South East Leisure Centre Operators Forum, as well as being an active member of Sporta and the Kent Alliance of Leisure Trusts. Involved in competitive sport his entire life, Martin now has a passion for advocating the benefit of a healthy lifestyle driven by physical activity. A devotee through use of his local gym to do at least 150 minutes of exercise per week, Martin also confesses to being a golf junkie, playing off a 12 handicap.

Sharon Gradwell

Board Member - Joined Board in April 2017

  • Sharon currently manages Clinical Services with Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust. She is a chartered physiotherapist and an ergonomist with over 20 years experience in the NHS acute and community settings and in the private sector. She has specialisms in Musculoskeletal physiotherapy, Occupational Health and Weight Management. As a physiotherapist Sharon understands the benefits of keeping active to ensure a healthy lifestyle and she regularly participates in running, swimming, cycling and kayaking. She also enjoys walking in the Kent countryside, and travelling both in the UK and abroad.

Adam Lawrence

Board Member - Joined Board in April 2017

  • Adam was formerly the Chief Executive Officer of Gillingham Football Club Community Trust. He had five years of experience within this role, developing overall business strategy for the charity, as well as creating unique projects to be delivered throughout Medway and Kent. A qualified PE teacher, Adam also has good experience and understanding of schools, and of delivering sports sessions and projects to young people. He is a sports fanatic, but football is his main passion as both a supporter, and also playing for local teams. He also likes a sporting challenge, having previously completed the London Marathon and the London to Amsterdam bike ride, raising money for charity on both occasions.

Jennie Jordan

Board Member - Joined Board in April 2017

  • Jennie started her career as a Sports Development Manager before joining the Youth Sport Trust in 2003 - an independent charity devoted to changing young people's lives through sport. She has over 20 years of national and regional experience within education, sport, physical activity and the wider community and recently she has expanded her profile working internationally in the USA, South Africa and across Europe. Jennie has a particular interest in PE and sport and firmly believes that sport can inspire young people to reach their personal best. In 2013, she was appointed as a trustee for the Shepway Sports Trust in Kent, a charity that aims to inspire all generations to lead a healthy active lifestyle. She also continually sets herself new challenges, recently completing a 500 mile charity cycle ride through France and competing in the 2017 London Marathon.
