Support and guidance

Club Matters

Club Matters is a free support package for clubs and sports organisations. It brings together all of Sport England’s existing support projects into one simple resource. The four key areas are club finances, management, people and marketing and includes online support, workshops and mentoring.

Clubmark is the universally acknowledged cross sport accreditation scheme for community sports clubs. It stands for higher standards of welfare, equity, coaching and management.

Following a recent review of Clubmark Sport England have decided that it will cease on the 30 November 2019. Clubs currently being assessed need to complete by mid-November. Clubs due for renewal will be signposted to a new three tier ‘Health Check’ via the Club Matters online platform. Please note this decision does not impact sports who run their own version of Clubmark, e.g. FA Charter Standard, ECB Clubmark etc.

Please click here and check the ‘Are you eligible?’ section for a full list of sports
